History:1849. Assigned to the Naval Division operating in Italy in support of the Pope.
7th September 1850. Assigned to the fleet in the Antilles, based in Havana.
1855. Posted to Havana or San Juan de Puerto Rico. Later to return to Spain and was assigned to tasks of mail between the colonies of the Caribbean and Spain.
1860. Participated in the war against Morocco, then sent back to Italy to protect Spanish interests during the fall of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in the hands of Garibaldi.
27th October 1863. Transported the second battalion of Marines to Puerto Rico.
1866. Appointed to the South Atlantic squadron, based in Montevideo.
1868. Was captured by the ironclad frigate ‘Vitoria’.
1875. Participated in the Third Carlist War.
1882. Disarmed and decommissioned.
